That is definitely more than enough if you don’t stream or watch videos too much. This is on a regular local sim and not a tourist sim though.

Hi Kim! It depends. Some devices take sim cards, others don’t. For instance, Skyroam doesn’t use a sim card. So, it just depends on your device. Hope that helps 🙂

Unfortunately, I don’t know any options in Central or South America. I’m hoping to do more travel there in the future.

I haven’t tried the wifi egg yet, but I know people that have, and it seemed to be sufficient for them. I’ll have to check it out sometime.

I totally agree! That’s my main reason for needing a phone while traveling…for navigation purposes. I’m kind of a wanderer (hence the name of the blog lol), so I typically don’t make too many concrete plans. But, I need wifi to be readily accessible while I’m on the go to look up places and use maps and such.

That is amazing that T-Mobile includes that! I need the other carriers to hop onboard! Also, I found coverage in Cambodia to be very poor with a Cambodian SIM card, so I’m not sure how well an international carrier would work there.
