I absolutely love this post. I didn’t know that Sarajevo was called the “Jerusalem of Europe”!
The city definitely does look like a winter wonderland and the slopes are only 30 mins away?! That makes me extremely happy (I love snowboarding). When I was younger, my dad used to quiz me on history and one of the things he’d quiz me about was how WW1 started. I knew about the assassination but I didn’t know that happened in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

This is such an informative post and I’m definitely saving this for later! Thanks for sharing.

I would love to visit the Tunnel Of Hope, we are very familiar with Sarajevo and it’s history and it is great to read a post about the things to do and see for a visit and not the typical holiday brochure stuff. This is great!

Fascinating read. I had no idea that Sarajevo would be so beautiful! The snow in the mountains and the food looks just incredible. I must say, it’s a bit disappointing to know that they left all that Olympic infrastructure in tact, with no continued use. Seemed irresponsible by the organization that they failed to undo the mess that they left. It’s too bad that someone local has not found a way to use it tourism in some way.

What a wonderful post about Sarajevo. I’m hooked after just reading a few lines and seeing the images. That tunnel I would definitely love to explore, those wall arts are fantastic, too! I think I’d like to hit the slopes as well and many other spots you’ve showcased in here!

The best “cevapi” are in the old part of town, Bashcharshija. There was a saying once that you didn’t really go to Sarajevo if you haven’t tried “cevapi” in Bashcharshija. Still the best in Balkans! 🙂

This is such an amazing, extensive post! I’ve always wanted to check out the abandoned bobsled tracks; I remember seeing a photo of it floating around the Internet a few years ago. I had NO idea that there were so many other really cool things to do in Sarajevo! The Tunnel of Hope looks interesting, and the pictures of food are making me hungry. Thank you for sharing, I’m definitely going to have to bookmark this to come back to!

Wow, such a comprehensive guide to this area. I would not have considered going there but gosh, it is amazing. You saw some pretty incredible sights outside of town plus the city itself appears very interesting. Nice post that I will reference again. Appreciate all the effort you put in to creating it.
